BMW and Mini
We have invested heavily in our equipment and training to ensure that we can offer the best possible care for your BMW or Mini. This ensures that our technicians have everything they need, from the manufacturers technical information to various specialist mechanical and diagnostic tooling. We also use ICOM, the genuine BMW diagnostic tool, which allows us to complete many of the complex procedures needed when repairing a BMW. It may be a simple fault read, an in depth diagnostic procedure, loading service information onto the I drive system, a software up date, configuration and programming of a new module or part or many other tasks, we can handle it. Using the genuine BMW and Mini technical and repair data ensures all repairs are done correctly and when it comes time for routine maintenance, we will update your digital service records on the BMW server.
BMW and Mini Servicing.
Your BMW or Mini will be equipped with a one of two service reminder systems. Newer models will have Condition Based servicing (or CBS) and older models will have the Service Interval indicator system.
Condition based servicing.
New models released after 2002 were equipped with the CBS service reminder system.
CBS is a flexible system, the vehicle will monitor a number of components and also the type of journey the car is used for. Using this information, it will then alert you when your car is due for maintenance, by displaying the appropriate ICON on your Dashboard. The vehicle Key also stores all service data, which can then be read in our reception using the BMW key reader. This helps our team determine the exact requirements of your car.
Service Interval Indicator
The SII system is a fixed service schedule and will alert you to maintenance based on time and or millage, regardless of the vehicles type of use. The SII system also uses a selection of ICONs to alert the driver to the type of service or maintenance that is needed. A list of the SII icons can be found HERE.
All of our BMW servicing is carried out following the BMW schedule, using genuine or equivalent quality parts, using the manufactures recommended procedures and technical information. We use the genuine diagnostic tool for any necessary resets or procedures and the BMW digital service record will be completed. Any new car warranty will remain intact.
