We have invested heavily in our equipment and training to ensure that we can offer the best possible care for your Mercedes. This ensures that our technicians have everything they need, from the manufacturers technical information to various specialist mechanical and diagnostic tooling. We also use Xentry/STAR the genuine Mercedes diagnostic tool, this allows us to complete many of the complex procedures needed when repairing a Mercedes. It may be a simple fault read, an in depth diagnostic procedure, a software up date, Security (SCN) coding, configuration and programming of a new module or part or many other tasks, we can handle it. Using the genuine Mercedes technical and repair data ensures all repairs are done correctly and when it comes time for routine maintenance, we will update your digital service records on the Mercedes server.

Theft relevant parts.

Many parts on your Mercedes form part of the vehicle security system, these are what Mercedes term theft relevant parts and include a large number of items from an ignition key to a transmission control module. Once fitted, these parts not only require security (SCN) coding via the official diagnostic tool, but Mercedes also restrict supply of these parts to workshops with the necessary accreditation.  At Lion Garage, we are able to supply, fit and program all parts for Mercedes, including those termed as theft relevant parts (TRP’s)

Mercedes servicing.

Your Mercedes will alert you to needing a service via the instrument cluster; the service message will be accompanied by a letter which will indicate the type of service needed. The A service is the smallest of the services and would be similar to a traditional “interim” or “oil change service”. The B service is a more comprehensive service which would be more like the traditional “Full service”. In most cases, the first A service will be due at 10,000 miles, the first B service at 20,000 and they will continue to alternate at roughly 10,000 mile intervals. At various millage or time points, your Mercedes may require a number of additional tasks, which may be indicated by other letters such as C, D, E & H. These tasks can be specific to each model and we can advise you better once we have the vehicle details and service history.

All of our Mercedes servicing is carried out following the manufacturers schedule, using genuine or equivalent quality parts and using the manufactures recommended procedures. We use the genuine diagnostic tool for any necessary resets or procedures and the digital service record will be completed. Any new car warranty will remain intact.
